ZamigAI o AI

The dynamic development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in recent years, along with their increasing popularity and practical applications across various areas of life, has attracted widespread interest in this emerging field. Consequently, AI-related terminology should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their preferred language of communication, including users of Polish Sign Language (PJM).
The main objective of the innovation project “ZamigAI o AI” is to improve access to Artificial Intelligence knowledge and resources for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who communicate using Polish Sign Language (PJM). This objective will be achieved through the development of AI-related terminology in PJM and the creation of educational materials and training resources delivered in PJM.

The innovation project “ZamigAI o AI” involves:

• developing and making available a set of PJM signs related to Artificial Intelligence, including terminology identification, expert consultations, glossary development, and dissemination activities;
• developing a training methodology and curriculum on Artificial Intelligence for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals;
• producing AI tutorials in Polish Sign Language (PJM) using the newly developed PJM terminology.

The project also contributes to the achievement of the specific objectives of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) by strengthening social inclusion and equal opportunities, while supporting the development of competencies that are essential for the labour market and lifelong learning.
