{"id":24012,"date":"2025-06-25T13:44:11","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T11:44:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ai.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/projekty-miedzynarodowe\/minfirex\/"},"modified":"2025-06-25T13:44:11","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T11:44:11","slug":"minfirex","status":"publish","type":"projekty-miedzynarod","link":"https:\/\/ai.lukasiewicz.gov.pl\/en\/projekty-miedzynarodowe\/minfirex\/","title":{"rendered":"MINFIREX"},"content":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","categories":[281],"class_list":["post-24012","projekty-miedzynarod","type-projekty-miedzynarod","status-publish","hentry","category-completed-project"],"acf":{"opis":"<p>The project titled: \u201cMinimizing the Risk and Mitigating the Effects of Fire and Explosion Hazards in Underground Coal Mining,\u201d acronym: \u201cMINFIREX,\u201d is funded under the RFCS \u2013 EU Research Fund for Coal and Steel, based on a contract with the European Commission, No. RFCR-CT-2010-00005, and from research funds allocated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) for the years 2010-2013 for the implementation of an internationally co-financed projec<\/p>\n<p>PROJECT OBJECTIVES:<br \/>\nThe aim of the project was to minimize the risk of occurrence and reduce the impacts of fires and explosions in coal mines, with particular focus on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of fire and explosion prevention strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Development of innovative measurement tools for detecting fires and other hazardous atmospheres.<\/li>\n<li>Development of methods for combating endogenous fires.<\/li>\n<li>Development of an innovative active protection system against fires and explosions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim of the tasks undertaken by the EMAG Institute within the project was:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of a method for continuous dust monitoring in the outlet zone of the extraction face and an algorithm for determining the critical saturation of a coal-rock dust mixture with coal dust.<\/li>\n<li>Development of mathematical models for time profiles of carbon monoxide concentration from various sources of this gas.<\/li>\n<li>Development of a prediction and alarm signaling method for detecting signs of endogenous fires.<\/li>\n<li>Development of a hardware-software module for monitoring CO concentration changes and identifying CO emission sources using wireless communication technology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PLANNED OUTCOMES:<br \/>\nAs a result of the part of the project involving the EMAG Institute, the following outcomes were achieved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A method for continuous dust monitoring in the outlet zone of the extraction face.<\/li>\n<li>An algorithm for determining the critical saturation of a coal-rock dust mixture with coal dust.<\/li>\n<li>A carbon monoxide concentration sensor with radio transmission.<\/li>\n<li>PMCO module for identifying CO emission sources and alarming in fire hazard situations..<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PROJECT VALUE: 2,554,212.00 EUR.<\/p>\n<p>EUROPEAN FUNDING CONTRIBUTION: 1,532,528.00 EUR.<\/p>\n<p>Consortium members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>DMT GmbH &#038; Co.
